I've had this camera for over 2 years now and it still takes beautiful pictures! Easy to use and very durable, I dropped it a couple of times and NOTHING happened. I highly recommend this product.
Customer Review: I regret I bought this.
For quite sometime lured by media publicity I thought Sony a good brand. But this was not at all true for digital cameras. I bought this P73 for myself and an HP 4 MP camera for my cousin much cheaper than Sony. Both 3x Optical zoom. The HP one was far better in image quality. Main problem is that photo quality is not so good. It lacks sharpness and in most of the natural occassions becomes a bit hazy. This fact becomes annoying because your friend who has a Cannon or an HP camera will take sharper pictures better than you in any light conditions. Also, in the same price you might look for something higher than 3x optical zoom, say 5x or so in other brands. Also during video, every option of adjusting to light conditions etc will be shut off, another irritating fact. Not recommended.

Initial impression: Pros: lots of functions, lots of manual control. Good communication to the camera. Good power. Head swivels horizontally and vertically. Good for bounce flash. Seems a much better value that the sony for my sony alpha Cons: virtually worthless manual. Obviously English not the primary language here. Poor explanation of custom connection to camera. Overall it seems good to great but I will wait on that till I use it more.

Most of the reviews I read before I bought this case seemed to have been written by men, who tend to be more interested in function than form, so if you're into aesthetics, this is for you. Initially, I wanted to find a case that was more stylish, but this was the best one I could find, and I really like the way it looks. My husband (who knows that things can get a little knocked around in my purse) was leaning toward something a little more heavy duty, but the LCM-THA has done a great job protecting my camera. I like that it's not too bulky, since, clearly, the DSC-T7 looks cool because it's so thin. I feel like my camera is safe and secure, but hasn't lost its coolness.

The pack is great - plenty of room, flexible configuration of compartments for lenses, camera, and other accessories. The tripod is light and easy to use but a bit flimsy, especially when extended to it's tallest point.

Customer Review: Tamron 200-500mm lens
I have had this lens for a few months. The lens is great for birding and other nature shots. I have been very pleased with this lens. To get a better lens means spending quite a bit more cash. It is light and I use a shoulder rig in a canoe for a lot of my work. On the downside it takes complete sunshine to get good, sharp shots. The color and the contrast are a little weak , but can be easily "fixed " in photoshop. For the money this lens is a no brainer. Just look at the pics. ! Now for an L lens !!!

I have now used this lens in several different places including the Zoo. While it is a little hard to lug around, it produces very sharp images at all ranges. If I had my wishes it would be a little faster. I now must purchase a better tripod system to go with the lens.

I've this camera since 2001 the cost was 762$. The camera has been worth every dollar I paid. Everytime I take pictures and share them with friends they get really impressed. I've taken pictures like a pro. I bought a optional mounted flash and in a enclosed space and pointing the flash to the ceiling I've taken the most vivid pictures I could dream of. I've captured the most wonderful still moments of a party with incredible detail. The optical zoom allows me to get a close up of a face from my 6th floor apartment building down to the street. I've thought of buying a new one just because of obsolence you know! but It's gonna be difficult to find another camera that can give me so much fun.

I was a little leery to use this, not wanting to damage my camera or loose my photos. But my boyfriend and I had so much fun taking photos while snorkeling, we basically took turns but never went without it. Also, I felt my camera was protected taking it on boats and to the lake, even if it didn't go in the water. Great shots! Occasionally the lens did fog up, even though I was in very warm water--I imagine this would be worse in cold water. This can be solved by letting the camera cool off, although it does come with an anti-fog liquid. No leaks, and comes with a strap that can be tightened to stay on even while swimming. Buy this if you are taking an ocean vacation!

Its odd to add a review for a camera now out of production, but consistently this camera rates significantly higher then its successors the T200, or T300. The later generations have higher resolution images, and improved software. But this older model delivers better pictures, and more pictures per charge. In the end isn't that what you get a camera for? Its sad, but true, that the photo journals and consumer report articles on the newer cameras consistently report them as disappointingly inferior to this older model. This explains why this old model now sells for more, sometimes twice as much, as it did when it was in production - or as the newest successor sells for now.

If I put my 400D with two small lens in the camera slot, I still have a lot of remaining space... maybe for future lens. The slot will fit 17" notebook easily. The Tripod and cleaning kit are extra point.

This was a decent point and shoot camera when it worked. I took very good care of this camera. I did not drop it or damage it in any way. After 9 month's the LCD screen stopped working. This forced me to take several photos of the same pose/scene in the hopes of maybe taking a good picture of it. A couple of weeks after the 1 year warranty ran out, all of the pictures i took were fractured and blurred, forcing me to purchase a new camera. Like i said, when it did work, it took good pictures. But the quality of the hardware left a bad taste in my mouth. I will not buy another Sony camera again.

This camera is good for point and shoot. Low zoom power, but makes up for it by being compact enough to carry around. More importantly, for those interested in infrared photography or IR + visible photography, this camera is a 10 minute project to disassemble and modify. 10 screws, swap out the ir filter and you're set.

These batteries seem to last quite a long time while they're in the camera. They hold their charge well, and will last for many pictures between charges. I've charged mine many times, and haven't seen a decrease in capacity yet. If you're looking for a set of rechargeable batteries, you can't go wrong with these.

Fake batteries - Cheap Imitation from Networker-7 I made a mistake by ordering this item from a reseller. I bought them from "Networker-7" and he sent me a perfect set of batteries, but something was wrong. The battery package was badly sealed (like it never passed QC) and when I opened it and checked the batteries, the colors and fonts were slightly different from my other original Cybershot Batteries, which came with my camera. I compared them carefully and realized this are fake sony batteries, just an imitation. Must be some cheap-made-in-brazil ones with a printed sticker on them or something like that. Be aware of this seller. Buy from Amazon Only!!!

I boutght this thinking it was a nice semi hard piece of plastic and semi transparent. It is not comes as a cardbord sheet somewhere between cardbord and plastic. It is large and you need to fold it and velcrow it to your flash and a rubber band will also help keep it on. Basically you can do the same with any white piece of cardboard.

I got this lens, it very appealing to have 28-300 as I do not have to change any lens that often. It's great, the picture is very good. The zoom is amazing. The picture quality and the colors are very good. There is little stiffness when zooming but I think it will go away with use. I feel like the auto focus is a bit slow to get the right focus. But I haven't tried lens with that zoom power to really compare. I still use my 18-70 lens to capture people and wide range pictures. Finally, it's really great for this price.

It's been along time. I bought this camera new 7 or 8 years ago and still have it and use it. At that time it was a high end camera, I believe, the retail price was around $999.00. How things have changed! Now I can only compare it to a classic old black and white movie, silly and dated, but in it's time wonderful. It does what it does well, but with only 0.8MP it can't do much. A 14x optical zoom? Unheard of now! Takeing a picture at the full telephoto setting and then passing it off as anything other then abstract art would be absurd. Still, you've got to love them for thinking it was possible. This camera is a wonderful artifact (why I gave it 4 stars) of a not so far off distant time in digital photography.

But with the new ones coming out, I felt a little outdated. I definiteltly love the floppy disk feature of holding images. It makes life soooo much easier! Whenever I ran outta discs, someone always had extra or I could easily buy them very cheap. The only bad thing was the battery life was soooo short and towards the last few months Ive had nothing but disc errors and lost pics. I finally upgraded to a new camera but I don't regret this one at all.

This lens is really incredible... The quality has always been great with Sigma and this lens is as great as Sigma's reputation... If you plan to use this lens with a Digital Camera, do not forget that there is a x1.2 coefficient (this lens is a 15mm but used on a Digital Camera, it turns into a 18 or 20mm). If you want the effect of a fisheye (180degrees), consider buying a shorter lens (8mm). The 15mm fisheye from Sigma is a great super wide angle if used on a digital camera...

Our job requires us to take photos almost everyday, so we have tried and worked with many digital cameras in the past years. We bought the DSCP100 like a year ago, and we have been more than pleased with it. The size of the camera is great, the quality of the body is amazing. Battery life is great too. It takes very good pictures, and starts working immediately, so you will not loose that special scene.... Because all of the above, we simply can't stop using the little DSCP100. The Sony dscp100 is such an appealing camera - small, easy to operate - that my shutterbug wife ordered a second one. The reason to order a second one: little black dots began appearing in both viewfinder and photos - in compositions that had a light background such as a sky. So she found a new old-stock model - both have the Zeiss lens - and was happy for a few weeks. Now the second one has the dots. They resemble human eye floaters. Yes; we're sending the seond one back for warranty work.

Once I put the armor body on the camera case it was like super camera. Great protection for the camera body and I can still operate the buttons with no trouble. The ring around the lense is worthless since it pops off with the slightest nudge and would take the lens cap with it. But the armor body alone is worth the price.

Great camera protector. The only problem is the lens protector, if you put it at the edge of the lens it keeps falling, if you put it all the way, the zoom will not move/turn properly. I solved the problem by streching it to the lens hood and putting a heavy duty Epoxy.

Customer Review: Cheaper Than Original SONY Product - Works Great
My SONY camcorder was not charging and before I took it to the SONY repair shop and spend $300, I was told to buy a new charging unit by the SONY tech. The SONY branded charger was over $75.00 and you had to buy both the charger and the power cord. The Lenmar ACM50 power adapter came in one unit and worked right out of the box. At $14.99 this is a fabulous buy and much cheaper than the original SONY items. Works as good, or better than the original equipment.

Customer Review: Not funcitional and packed in box not matching product
The descriptions say anti-fog liquid is included, but it is not. The product arrives in a box that is a waterproof bag for a different camera. When you open it, you think it's not what you ordered. However, I got the waterproof bag for the camera I have. When I tested a paper towel in the bag, it did not get wet. When I tried the camera in the bag, it barely fit. I have not tried it underwater, but am concerned it will not be easy to use. The directions, where English is not the primary language, says you should test the bag each time before use. This is a bit hard and unrealistic, since it involves unscrewing three screws and screwing them back, then doing the test in the water. Then, if the test passes, you're supposed to finally put the camera in. Granted, the underwater housing is "cheap", but I've lost interest in using it because of doubts generated from the packaging and frustration with the idea of doing a test before each use.

Customer Review: Not the camera case I thought it was
I purchased this item thinking that it was just like a regular camera case but in leather. I had just bought the SONY DSC-H9 digital camera. I don't know if the term "jacket" made the difference but I could barely fit my camera in because there was so many different parts of the case to attach together. It's definitely not a sample case that you zip up! I wish I had taken pictures of the case before returning it to better explain what I mean... Sorry! :-)
Customer Review: ridiculous/No RIDICULOUS
This was the most ill concieved idea of a case that I have ever seen. You need a degree to put the camera back in the case, and it was designed only to be used with the hood - that will hardly ever bee used! I sent it back - and If you get it you will too! Stick with a cheap case that is easy to deal with..it might not have the sony name..but it will provide you much better access and ease of use.

Customer Review: the camera looks sexy and sleek but the pictures are sloppy
This was my first digital camera and was very excited (and carried away) how sleek and sexy looking this camera was. Once I started taking pictures, my resentment started growing - pictures are not crisp (a 3.0 MP camera would do better), flash is poor, spots appear in the picture (thought it was some dirt on the lens but no, that wasn't it). Overall, if you want stylish and cool (looking) camera, go for it. If you want good pictures, stay away from it. Note: The picture may look crisp and clear when you view them on the LCD but when you download them onto your PC, you'll regret. So, it is a good choice if you're using this to take snaps and show to friends and not serious about printing or downloading them.

am not a professional photographer, and thats not what this camera is made for. So I dont know why people are whining about picture quality, I am going from a Canon SD300, and the pictures on the Sony look much better. Plus I got a great deal on a black unit for $280.00 direct from Sony! I just wish it was a tad smaller. I think this model is so much better looking then the T-100 and I love the touch screen, which is one reason I opted out of the T-100 and saved $120.

Customer Review: Typical Problems
My daughters camera seems to be experiencing the same problem as others. She bought it at 14 years old with her own $ to take on a school field trip to Washington. She took about 50 shots and then the power button would only work randomly or the lense would freeze coming out or closing. Being an electrical engineer I would guess that the motor for the cover/lens draws so much current that the battery voltage drops so low that the camera shuts off. I have tried brand new Eveready Copper tops with no luck. If I try it 4 or 5 times and can't coax it to life I can sometimes set it to view the pictures and then slide it over to the take picture mode and it will stay on. I feel bad as I talked her into a $300 Sony telling her to buy a good brand name and it would last for years. Tough lesson for a 14 year old spending babysitting money!
Customer Review: Pretty decent camera
Pretty good all around camera for what it is. Battery usage is not bad, don't use rechargeables or you will be disappointed in the performance. You can take lots of pictures with a 1gig care before its full. Uses AA batteries which are easily obtainable almost anywhere. Picture quality is pretty good, focuses pretty easily. Movies are pretty good. Overall an easy to use camera. Rated a 4 because it is inexpensive.

Customer Review: Very cost effective lens
I have had this lens for a month now. For the first 3 weeks, it did not leave the camera. I have to say it does a superb job for the price. For me, it is wide enough at 24mm even on a trip to NYC. It did well during the day, but shined at night when the city comes alive. Also, this lens does perform well in lowlight situations, not as well as the Minolta 50mm f/1.7, but well enough to warrant not having to change lenses. The downside for some may be the weight. It is quite heavy, but I had no problem using it as a walkaround. Also, at 82mm, filters will be quite expensive. Outside of those 2 issues, the lens is excellent.

Nicely designed product. The float that comes with it does a nice job and water never entered the case. The only problem was the previously stated problem seeing the screen through the case. Underwater this was a problem sometimes in the brighter areas of the water but the pictures came out just fine. I had this attached to my wrist when I went Boogie boarding and body surfing in Wailea and it took a pounding but never let a drop in. We brought the camera all over Maui in the case and shot lots of photos and the quality of the glass on the lens is very good. There isn't any noticeable difference in any of the "dry" pictures that I took on land. Great price on amazon for a great product.

I have used this camera for several years and I have enjoyed it. If you have extra batteries and memory sticks it helps alot! The only reason I am in the market for a new camera is that I would like the image stabilization feature. This is a much better lens than you would believe for the price. Stopped down a bit and in the middle ranges of the zoom it offers good sharpness! This is my Auto settings lens and when i need to hand the camera to my wife or someone who isnt familiar with DSLR but wants to take some pictures in a family setting for example. Using a tripod and a remote release also helps alot getting the most out of this lens. I would rate it 3.5-4 depending on the mm/stop. My next lens will be the Sony SAL1680 Carl Zeiss to replace this one.

I got this lens as part of a package with the alpha body. Most times, it appears this lens is extraordinarily sharp... a wonderful all around lens. It's wide enough for most use...great for group photos and such, and the long end provides beautiful, sharp portraits. A wonderful combination with the alpha body.

I must admit that the first time I put the camera in it and got near the water I was really worried that it wouldn't work, but it did. It is fantastic and everyone that saw it stopped and pointed. We were on a boat and everyone else had their digital cameras wrapped in plastic bags and my husband and I were completely carefree about going under the water with the camera and taking photos of the fish and dolphins. It is big and chunky, but I guess that inspires more faith that it will work!

I am so glad I bought this waterproof case for my DSC-T200. I was a little scared to take such an expensive camera underwater but the pics and video I gained from my snorkeling trip in the bahamas were excellent. The case allows you to change pic/video mode, flash on/off and macro on/off. There is also a zoom lever as well. The case allows for the flash to work pretty well also. Definitely would recommend.

I researched affordable DSLR cameras and chose the A300 for its rear screen viewing when desired, its 'in the camera body' anti shake system, its comfortable shape and weight, and its excellent picture clarity. The A300 is NOT a 'dumbed down' DSLR. Its sophisticated (yet easy to use)features should satisfy any photographer. Controls are perfectly positioned, settings are easily reviewed, delay time between pressing the shutter release and the picture being taken IS NON EXISTANT. Audio noise is unobtrusive. Bracketing is simply achieved. and the kit lens is fine for general use. As I take Nature photos, I opted for the Tamron 70-300mm zoom lens as a quality yet less expensive alternative to the Sony zoom. I would buy the Sony A300 again without hesitation. [Nevertheless, if you have an extra $400, the new 350 is an impressive choice indeed.]

Customer Review: Not Fully Compatible with SONY cameras
I bought this battery for a Sony digital camera DSC-V1. This battery is not the same as the SONY version; it is a cheaper Chinese battery. Sure, it fits into the camera, but there are a few problems with it that should prevent you from purchasing it. 1) This battery does not cooperate with the Sony recharge settings. Usually, the battery is placed in the camera, the camera is plugged up, and the battery starts charging. A yellow light appears on the camera to show that the battery is charging, and it goes off when it is fully charged. Not so with this cheap Chinese battery. The yellow light will stay on forever. 2) Removing the battery requires a knife. You will not be able to use your battery eject button. You need to wedge a small object into the camera and work the battery out physically. 3) The time the battery holds a charge seems random. Sometimes you can take four or five flashed photographs and the charge leaves completely. Other times, it seems to last much longer. Do yourself a favor and pay a little more for the Sony version.
